Paintings of RKCS testaments of Manipur history: Committee

RKCS Birth Anniversary Centenary Celebration Committee secretary RK Budhimanta Singh stated that paintings of renowned artist late RK Chandrajitsana (RKCS) vividly capture and elucidate pivotal incidents in Manipur's history.
He was speaking at RKCS Birth Centenary Celebration organised jointly by the celebration committee and Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Tripura at RKCS Arts Gallery located at Keishamthong on Saturday.
The programme, presided over by Sahitya Akademi awardee Saratchand Thiyam, was attended by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Tripura president L Birmangal Singh as chief guest and Arts Society Manipur president Th Debendra Singh as guest of honour.
RK Budhimanta highlighted that the late artist, RK Chandrajitsana Singh, captured various significant events and phases of Manipur s history through his paintings and added that his last painting was titled The glory of Manipuri civilisation'.
RKCS Art Gallery is a priceless gift for the land, he added.
He informed that the committee is preparing for conducting poetry reading session, painting competition for children, tree plantation and state level arts exhibition in connection with the birth centenary celebration of RKCS.
