Imphal, January 11 2025: CISF arrested two individuals with 31.680 kg of weed from Imphal International Airport on Saturday.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rojit Chongtham (34) s/o Mobimacha of Singjamei Chongtham Leikai and Sarangthem Dingku Singh (25) s/o Ingocha of Kakching Khunou Thingnam Bokul Leikai.

According to a police report, CISF personnel on duty at Imphal International Airport seized around 31.680 kg of weed from three items of baggage brought by Rojit and Dingku, during a routine check at around 12.50 pm Thursday.

The three items of baggage (red, black and green) were found containing 16.520 kg, 9.580 kg and 5.580 kg of weed respectively.

Both Rojit and Dingku were to board an Imphal to Delhi Indigo flight (6E2417).They along with the seized items have been handed over to Singjamei PS for further legal action.
