Fire damages house in Wangjing

Thoubal, November 15 2024: A house in Wangjing Lamding Keithel in Thoubal was caught in fire around 2 pm Friday, causing damages estimated at over Rs 30 lakh.

The house belonged to one Rk Netrasana s/o late Jitendra.

According to reports, family members suspect the fire may have been caused due to short circuit.

At the time of the incident, the family was at the front of the house, while the fire started at the garage in the rear.

Neighbour raised alarm on noticing the flames and rushed in to control the inferno.

Members of Arambai Tenggol also joined the effort to prevent the hre from spreading further.

Fire service personnel soon arrived and contained the blaze, saving some rooms from being destroyed.

However, a Hyundai Alcazar car (MN09A 0653) and granary were completely burned.

The total damage is estimated to be around Rs 30 lakh.
