'Chali No 15' showcased, essay competition held

TAPASYA, which is a performing arts centre based at Singjamei Wangma Pebia Pandit Leikai, presented its latest dance production titled "Chali No 15" on July 6 and 7 as part of the Rath Yatra festival.
The performance was attended by State Kala Awardee Konsam Kumar Singh, Swami Vivekananda National Awardee Dr Ambekar and Nandeibam Jugindro Singh as chief guest, president, guest of honour and host respectively.
The event was hosted by TAPASYA director Mayanglambam Sobhamani Singh.
"Chali No 15" was produced by Sobhamani Singh and choreographed by TAPASYA vice president Y Sarita Devi.
The production is the centre's latest contribution to the preservation and promotion of traditional and contemporary performing arts.
Meanwhile, Competition Cell of Kha Manipur College, Kakching organised an essay competition for students of the college at its multipurpose hall, on Monday.
The competition organised on the topic "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally" was participated by around 19 students.
