Three arrested with arms, ammos in CCpur

CCpur, April 29 2025: 7 Assam Rifles apprehended three individuals and recovered arms, ammunition and mobile phones from their possession on Monday.

The nabbed individuals are identified as Lunkhohao Touthang (46) of Saihenjang village, Churachandpur, Jamson Haokip of Sijang Veng, Moreh, Tengnoupal district and Lunkangam Mate of Laijang village, Churachandpur.

One Ak-47 with two magazines and 50 rounds, one 9mm pistol (country made) with five rounds, one 0.22mm single shot rifle with 15 rounds, two Kenbo bikes and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

According a police source, 37 Assam Rifles personnel intercepted the three individuals while they were moving suspiciously along Suangkuang village road in Singhat sub-division on Monday 1 pm.

The three along with the seized items have been over to Behiang police station.
