Imphal, July 28 2024:
A Therapeutic Support Session organised by Mitsna Foundation in collaboration with Wakhal Hakshel was held at Moirang College relief camp on Sunday to address pressing mental health and well-being concerns of the displaced people living in the relief camp, with special focus on the specific needs of children.
According to a statement released by the Foundation, the session began with a survey of the children residents to identify their specific needs.
Insights gained from this survey were instrumental in tailoring the support session to effectively address the mental health challenges faced by young people.
The session featured a panel of experts, including clinical psychologists Julia Mais-nam and Sanathoi Athokpam from Mind Care and Wakhal Hakshel.
Additionally, medical professionals Dr Prabin Kharibam and Dr Sanwaka Gracefulda Hadem, both senior residents at JNIMS, contributed their expertise to the success of the event.
The Mitsna Foundation believes this initiative is a crucial step towards fostering a mentally resilient community.
By raising awareness about the importance of mental health and supporting the community, the Foundation hopes to make a lasting impact on the well-being of those affected.
