Legal awareness on drug abuse held

Bishnupur, December 26 2024: A daylong awareness programme on 'Issues of Drug Abuse & De-addiction Schemes/Policies in the State of Manipur and NDPS Act, 1985' was organised by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Bishnupur and Legal Aid Clinic, Toubul under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) at Toubul on Thursday.

The programme was attended by Toubul Gram Panchayat Administrative Committee chairperson Thokchom Ningthemmani, Ngaikhong Zilla Parishad member Khwairakpam Sanamatum, Apunba Tengbang Lup, Toubul president Thoudam Shyamsundar, Women Wing president Thiyam Tarunibala and social worker David Kamei as presidium members, while District Hospital, Bishnupur psychiatrist Dr N Gyaneshwor, Re union Foundation founder secretary Angom Robindro, LADCS, Bishnupur deputy chief and advocate Thingbaijam Sudhir were present as resource persons.
