Peace run marks 133rd MP Raising Day in Bishnupur

In connection with 133rd Raising Day of Manipur police, Bishnupur district police organised a run carrying the message of peace from KLASA ground, Keinou to district police headquarters on Saturday.
Around 150 personnel of Manipur police, CRPF, ITBP, BSF and Assam Rifles and members of clubs and organisations of Bishnupur district took part in the peace run.
Around 60 women runners also participated in the peace run from Bishnupur forest gate to SP Bishnupur office.
In the men's category of the peace run, L Pari of Torbung Bangla stood first while second and third positions were won respectively by N Tokyo of Pukhrambam and 0 Daristar of Leimapokpam.
The winners were later encouraged by presenting cash, citation and memento at the Manipur police raising day function held at SP Bishnupur office.
At the event, Bishnupur SP Ksh Rabikumar said the peace run was organised with the main objective of bringing back peace and normalcy in the state and thanked all the participants.
Police and security agencies deployed in Bishnupur district are working round the clock to bring back peace and normalcy.
However, security forces alone could not bring back normalcy without the help of local clubs and Meira Paibis, he said and appealed to people to continue to help security forces.
The event was also attended by Imphal East DC Kh Daina, DC Bishnupur L Bikram, 2 IRB CO Hopsan Sapam, officers of Indian Army, CRPF, BSF and other forces deployed in the district.
On the other hand, the 133rd Raising Day of Manipur police was also celebrated at Moreh police station.
The event was participated by Moreh PS OC in-charge Md Salauddin and top officers of central forces deployed in the border town and leaders of different communities.
