Indian educators' workshop underway

Imphal, November 15 2024:
The 5th Indian Educators' Workshop on Korean Studies, 2024 organised by Manipur University, Department of Foreign Languages (Korean) under the sponsorship of Korean Foundation, began on Friday at the court hall of the University.
The workshop will conclude on Saturday.
MU vice-chancellor Prof N Lokendra, Embassy of Republic of Korea in India minister counsellor Minsun Kim, university & higher education director Dr Rangitabali Waikhom, Department Foreign Languages programme director Prof Hyunkyung Lee, and head Prof S Imo attended the inaugural session as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Lokendra advised the students to develop multilingual skills, especially in the wake of implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 .
He expressed hope that the workshop will open up more opportunities for students of the University.
Minister counsellor Minsun Kim spoke on the topic "Korea-India Relations: History and a way forward" .
English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad assistant professor Salna Sunny dwelt on "Colonial Korea 1910-1945", while MU, Department of Dance and Music assistant professor Dr Pukhrambam Lilabati dealt with "Korean culture and Manipuri culture: Proximity study in dance perspective" .
