5 MBBS seats for state students in East Timor: Licypriya

On the request of special envoy for The President of the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (East Timor) and climate & environmental activist Licypriya Kangujam, Government of East Timor has agreed to reserve five seats for Manipuri students for studying MBBS in the country.
Stating that the MBBS curriculum in East Timor is very similar to India with fee also marginal, a release informed that students, who have appeared in NEET exams, would be eligible to apply for the seats within November 12, details of which may be had by contacting Licypriya (6009059349).Licypriya in her last visit to East Timor in September had requested President Dr Jose Ramos Horta and the education minister to reserve 10 seats annually for students from Manipur.
In response, Government of East Timor informed on Wednesday that five seats have been arranged for students of the state.
The new academic session will begin in December with admission process already underway in East Timor.
Counselling for students selected from Manipur will be held at the Embassy of East Timor, New Delhi, added the release.
