Imphal, September 27 2020: Different bodies paid respect to Hijam Irabot on his death anniversary as well as 'Irabot Ningshing Numit' .

NEFIS
The North East Forum for International Solidarity (NEFIS) activists organized a commemoration programme on September 26, on the occasion of Irabot's death anniversary at Mana Ching, Keibi.

During the programme, the activists remembered the work of Irabot towards building a democratic, progressive people's movement in North-East region.

The programme highlighted the necessity of Irabot's ideas amid the present state of discord between different communitities.

The activists also pledged to continue to struggle for Irabot's revolutionary aims.

On the other hand, the Nongpok Nongthou Youth Association (NNYA) observed the Hijam Irabot Ningshit Numit by conducting social service work in and around the area of the association's jurisdiction.

Top Chingtha Pukhri Achouba, which is to be the main venue for the celebration of 125th Irabot Day Celebration, was also cleaned.

The social service work was conducted under the aegis of Advisor to CM, Th Shyamkumar, Tulihal ZP, Kongbam (o) Inaocha Devi, along with volunteers of the locality.

Kakching
Irabot Ningshing Numit was also observed in kakching by the Young Defence Club (YDC)-Terapishak and Eereipak Chaokhat-hanba Eenat Lup (EECHEL)-Kangleipak at the Terapishak Community Hall.

Meitorius students of class IX and XII examinations were also felicitated.

The function was attended by Kakching ZP Adhyaksha Phuritshabam Jiten, SEDO Hiyanglam secy org and YDC president Elangbam Tiken Meitei, Hiyanglam GP ex-Pradhan Elangbam Rajen, Ibudhou Pangalba Enterprises proprietor Ratan Elangbam, social worker Yumnam samuremba and Hiyanglam GP Up-Pradhan Wahengbam Ibohal as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

Moreh
In Moreh, the Yaipha Thourang Thousil Lup, Moreh Khunou Leikai organised a social service work in the locality today in observance of the 125th birth anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot.

Today's social service exercise was held as part of the 125th birth anniversary celebration programme of Lamyanba Irabot which is to be jointly organised by Meetei Council Moreh and All Community Development Organisation Moreh.
