Imphal, June 09 2025:
Arambai Tenggol has categorically denied summoning MLAs tomorrow, and said it had no involvement in the shooting incident at Tera Sapam Leirak, Imphal West today.
This clarification, issued by Laishram Robason, Control Room Operator, AT GHQ, came amid rumours doing rounds that the group has summoned MLAs tomorrow.
Some Units of the AT had reportedly asked MLAs staying outside Manipur at the moment to return to Manipur and form a Government by June 10 .
The Arambai Tenggol has not summoned MLAs tomorrow, said the organisation, dispelling the rumours and the report.
Further, AT said it had no involvement in the shooting incident at Tera Sapam Leirak in the afternoon today.
Several rounds of bullets were fired by an unknown miscreant at security forces' personnel at the locality at around 2.20 pm today.
This was an attempt to defame AT and derail its democratic agitation.
AT is not involved in the incident in any manner, said the organisation.
It also called on all concerned to refrain from causing unwanted incidents and vandalising vehicles during the bandh, and stage protest democratically.
Bandh has been enforced in the valley demanding immediate and unconditional release of AT leader Asem Kanan, who was arrested by the CBI on June 6 .
