The convention also agreed to mount strong pressure on the Government to keep the unity and integrity of Manipur intact under any circumstances, root out narco-terrorism from the State, check deforestation and encroachment on protected and reserved forest and to implement the National Register of Citizens with a specific base year.
Further, the gathering agreed to urge the Government to expedite the rehabilitation and resettlement works of the displaced folks and to trace the root cause of the genesis of Manipur violence.
To improve the socio-economy of the State, the convention resolved to urge the Government to take up necessary initiatives to keep the paddy fields green throughout the year and not close keithels.

Speaking to the media, COCOMI coordinator Jeetendra Ningomba said that the movement being carried out by the people in the interest of Manipur seems directionless and the same is disappointing.
