Imphal, July 21 2023:
The State Government has appealed to the public including media houses to take down any videos/posts/reposts/ in social media and refrain from creating/spreading any information/rumours/remarks/comments through any medium pertaining to the viral clip where two women were seen paraded naked by a mob to prevent aggravation of law and order situation.
In an order, Commissioner (Home) T Ranjit Singh said that the Government views the matter very seriously as a case of gross Constitutional violation of human rights.
He said that anyone found guilty will be prosecuted under relevant provision of the laws of the land without any exemption.
