Kangpokpi Police mark 133rd Police Raising Day with grand celebration

Kangpokpi district police on Saturday celebrated the 133rd Manipur Police Raising Day, marking over a century of dedicated service and sacrifice for the state.
The celebration held at the office premises of the SP brought together police personnel, local leaders, and civil society to honour the legacy and valour of the Manipur Police.
The highlight of the celebration was a "Bada Khanna" (community feast) organised for all personnel, including CRPF units stationed in the district.
Kangpokpi SP Manoj Prabhakar personally led the distribution of food alongside subordinate officers.
Several local bodies, including Kangpokpi Town Committee, and Kuki Women's Union, Sadar Hills, along with the district administration led by DC Mahesh Chaudhari, participated in the festivities.
Addressing the gathering, SP Manoj recounted, "133 years ago, on this very day, the Manipur Rifles Battalion was formed, marking the beginning of a force that has become synonymous with courage, professionalism, and unwavering integrity".
He emphasised that Manipur Police not only safeguard people of the state but also play a pivotal role in maintaining law and order, which has been a key driver of the state's economic and social development over the decades.
"We stand here today, not only to honour our history but to renew our commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and prosperous future for all citizens of Manipur," Prabhakar assured, underscoring the force's dedication to upholding justice and peace in the face of growing challenges.
