MLA inaugurates community hall, lists development projects

In a significant stride towards community development, the Babupara Nupi Samaj Lamjing Lup Multipurpose Community Hall was inaugurated today at Babupara, Ward No 24 of Sagolband Assembly Constituency by MLA RK Imo Singh.
The inaugural function was attended by G Bino, RK Jiten Singh, Salam Tiken Singh, Corporators from Ward No 24, Ward No 7, and Ward No 10, Mandal president Dr Ruhiksanta Sharma, along with several eminent community leaders including former Corporator of Ward No 8, Kangabam Tiken Singh.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA announced that a rooftop solar system will soon be installed to provide free electricity for the next 20 years for street lighting around Babupara and the newly inaugurated community hall.
The MLA expressed that there has been significant improvement in infrastructure and community welfare projects, including water supply across key areas such as Paona Bazar, Kakhulong, Keishamthong Khul, and other localities.
He highlighted ongoing and upcoming development initiatives across the Constituency, including the construction of new drainage systems to counter flash floods across Paona Bazaar and parts of Kakhulong--a Central project, laying of rigid pavements across major roads in Ward No 24 including Paona Bazar, Masjid Road, Nambul River Banks, Keishamthong etc, and blacktopping of internal roads.
He said a free health camp will be organised at the newly inaugurated community hall, aiming to provide essential medical services to the local residents.
