Imphal, June 07 2025: Women vendors of Khwairamband Keithel prayed for restoration of peace and normalcy in the State which has been in turmoil ever since the outbreak of ethnic conflict in May 2023 by making offerings to Keithel Lairembi yesterday.

The prayer ceremony was organised by the Khwairamband Ima Keithel Joint Coordinating Committee for Peace.

Speaking to the media, Khwairamband Ima Keithel Joint Coordinating Committee for Peace's convenor Laishram Mema expressed dismay over the failure of the Government to resolve the ethnic crisis which has caused extensive damage rendering thousands homeless and leading to loss of many innocent and precious lives over the past one year.

"Adding more woes to the already affected people, the State has been witnessing natural calamities on an unprecedented scale which is really unfortunate", she added.
