Imphal, May 17 2022: As part of its 64th foundation day celebration, Cultural Forum Manipur honoured 30 exceptional achievers of the state in the fields of literature, culture and others at JN Manipur Dance Academy here on Tuesday.

The event was attended by Langthabal MLA Karam Shyam as chief guest and Forum president Prof Huirem Behari as president.

During the function, 30 awards in different catego ries dedicated in the names of various personalities were presented to Chongthom Kamala Devi (Manipuri Matam Eshei); Dr Haobam Nalini Devi of Keishampat Kangabam Leikai (Literature); Lourembam Bina Devi of Singjamei Mathak Thokchom Leikai (Lifetime Achievement in Weaving); Khulem Chandrashekhar of Uripok Naoremthong Laishram Leikai (Lifetime Achievement in Manipuri Culture); Lenin Khumancha of Khangabok Makha Leikai (Young Creative Writer); Dr Nepram Maya of Sagolband Nepra Menjor Leikai; Dr Moirangthem Kirti of Kongba Ucheckon (Cultural Harmony); Hanjabam Gourchandra Sharma of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai (Lifetime Achievement in Folklore); Thongam Goshe Meitei of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak (Folksong): Takhellambam Mandakini Devi of Ningthoukhong Kha Leikai (Disabled Performing Artiste); Khangembam Ibeton Devi of Bishnupur (Outstanding Woman Creative Writer); Irungbam Basanta of Wangkhei Khunou (Lifetime Achievement Literary Award); Outstand ing Creative Writer to Waikhomcha Ibotombi Mangang of Thangmeiband; Lifetime Achievement in Meitei Pung to Sapam Kullabi of Lanthabal Lep Awang Leikai; Lifetime Achievement in Manoharsai to Loitongbam Sumati Devi of Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai; Koijam Dhiren Memorial Literary Award - 2022 to Sanglakpam Achou Sharma of Heingang Mayai Leikai.

Outstanding Writers Below the Age of 40 to Thabatombi Ngangbam of Khaidem Awang Leikai; Lifetime Achievement in Nat Eshei to Yumnam Jatra Singh of Tendongyan Awang Leikai; English Language to Tayenjam Bijoykumar Singh of Keishamthong Top Leirak; Lifetime Achievement in Matam Eshei to Phurailatpam Iboyaima Sharma of Keishamthong Irom Pukhri Mapal; Lifetime Achievement in Poetry to Rajkumar Bhubonsana Singh of Sega Road Konjeng Hajari Leikai; Lifetime Achievement in Ariba Manipuri Jagoi to Maibam Tondon Leima of Thoubal Khunou Awang Mayai Leikai; Elangbam Dinamani & Ibehaibi Literary Award-2022 to Maibam Nabakishore Singh; Lifetime Achievement in Translation to Khumanthem Prakash Singh of Sagolband Meino Leirak; Best Science Writer to Prof Hidangmayum Nandakumar Sarma of Uripok Ahanthem Leikai; Lifetime Achievement in Creative Manipuri Literature, Outside Manipur to Prof Abdus Sahid Chowdhury; Lifetime Achievement in Manipuri Culture to Mayanglambam Gourachandra of Kakching Khulem Makha Leikai; Lifetime Achievement in Classical Dance to Thiyam Suryamukhi Devi of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai; Lifetime Achievement in Lai Haraoba to Wahengbam Lukhoi Singh of Nambol Khathong Awang and Outstanding Personality in Manipuri Cinema to Aribam Shyamkrishna Sharma of Thangmeiband Lorungpurel Leikai.

The awards consisted of cash prizes, stoles and citations.

As part of the programme, new patron members and donors as well Sahitya Ak-ademi Yuva Puraskar 2021 awardee Lenin Khumancha were felicitated.
