Golden Jubilee of nunhood of Elizabeth Shangkhir held

Kakching, January 11 2025: Golden Jubilee celebration marking 50 years of religious profession of reverend sister Elizabeth Shangkhir Monsang was held at Monsang Pantha village, Chandel district on Saturday.

The Thanksgiving Holy Eucharist programme was attended by archbishop emeritus of Imphal Dominic Lumon as main celebrant in presence of priests, sisters, religious leaders, tribal and civil organisations leaders, relatives and friends.

Reverend sister Elizabeth Shangkhir was born on February 29, 1948 at Khuwbeluw (old Monsang Pantha) village to (late) K Ngamner and (late) Ts Tuha.

She joined Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC) in 1974 to begin her journey for nunhood.
