Imphal, December 31 2023:
A public meeting held at Mayang Langjing bazar along with the JAC formed against the killing of Ningombam James by Kuki militants on Saturday at Kadangband Part-II, has unanimously resolved not to claim body of the slain youth till the state government comes out with a clear stand on relentless aggression by the Kuki militants.
According to JAC convenor Y Imocha Singh, the public meeting resolved not to claim the body unless the government gives concrete assurance to stop Kuki terrorists from attacking Meetei villages and call total shutdown on January 2, 2024 in honour of James, whose body is being kept at JNIMS mortuary.
