Muslim youth organisation AMPYA formed

With the goal of uniting Meitei pangal youths and restoring peace in the strife-torn State, a brand new social organisation by the name of All Meitei Pangal Youth Association, AMPYA (All Manipur Committee) was constituted yesterday at a ceremony held at Kwakta Khuman Public Ground under Moirang Assembly Constituency.
The event was graced by Md Nasir Khan, president, Meitei Pangal Intellectual Forum; Hanif Shah, secretary, All Kwakta Youth Voluntary Organisation and Haji Ahmed Khan, president, Meitei Pangal United Voluntary Organisation Kwakta as the presidium members.
In addition, Mv Hafijuddin Pukhrimayum was appointed as the president of the Association which will be headquartered at Kwakta.
Other office bearers were also inducted into various posts of the All Meitei Pangal Youth Association.
Speakers at the event deliberated over many issues relevant to the Meitei Pangal community.
They explored various ways to improve the Meitei Pangal community and transform it into a community where every member is a good citizen.
Moreover, they also addressed the issue of how to ensure that the Meitei Pangal plays a significant role in building a better Manipur for everyone.
On the occasion, newly appointed Association president Mv Hafijuddin Pukhrimayum stated that the main goal of the Association is to unite the Meitei Pangal youth and to safeguard Manipur and its communities with the assistance of the Government.
The Association also aims to ensure that Meitei Pangal youth avoid the pitfalls of drug abuse and adhere to and preserve the tradition and culture followed by the forefathers, he added.
Thus, he urged all Meitei Pangals and CSOs of the State to lend their support and cooperation to the newly formed Association.
