Imphal, December 31 2023:
Despite being in alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena will not remain silent if the BJP-led government continues to hurt people's sentiments, said Shiv Sena Manipur State Unit president M Tombi.
Addressing media persons at its Babupara office, here, on Sunday, M Tombi said that silence of the three MPs of Manipur on the 7 month-long crisis in the Parliament is very unfortunate.
The people should not elect politicians who hand on to their posts and not think of the people, and teach them a lesson in the coming election.
Moreover, political parties should not issue tickets to those candidates who only thinks for their personal benefits.
While also expressing as unfortunate the inability of the government to take actions against the Kuki MLAs, the silent attitude of PM Modi over the state crisis where a number of people have been killed, injured and many displaced, Tombi said that the state government has not uttered a word over the proposal for an all political party meet in connection with the present crisis.
The people of the state are staying as refugees in their own land.
The government has failed to enforce law in the hills and even central forces are interfering in the decision of the government by blocking the MST bus service which was re-started by the government.
Newly appointed Shiv Sena Manipur State unit secretary Nando Mangang was also felicitated during the function.
