Imphal, June 14 2025: The six-day-long workshop on 'Preparation of Manipuri course materials in Meetei Mayek' organised by the North Eastern Regional Language Centre, Guwahati concluded Saturday at Hotel Parsuram, Guwahati.

The valedictory function of the workshop was attended by Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysuru lecturer cum resource person Dr Amom Nandaraj Meetei as chief guest and head of department of Linguistics of Naorem Birahari college Dr Nongmaithem Pritamkumar as special guest.

Speaking as chief guest at the function, Dr Nandaraj Meetei said that textbooks for non-native learners will enlighten them about Meetei Mayek s unique characters, apart from its own script, grammar and literature.

Workshop coordinator lecturer Dr Salam Brojen Singh of NERLC, Guwahati said that the workshop als6 covered structure lessons.
