Conflict wake-up call for all: MLA Kebi

Naoriya Pakhan glakpa AC MLA Soiraisam Kebi Devi has stated that the on-going conflict is for securing the future of the state, adding that the conflict is akin to wake-up call for the concerned citizens as it has opened eyes and ears of everyone.
She made the statement while speaking as chief guest of a prize distribution cum felicitation function of meritorious students of HSLC examination for this year, organised by Ratankumar Memorial (RM) School at its Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi campus On Monday.
The function was also attended by Naoriya Circle, ZEO Wangoi assistant inspector (School) Namoijam Khogendra Meetei as president, while Heinoukhongnembi GP pradhan Laishram Romita, Sangaiprou Mamang GP pradhan Konjengbam Jayanta Singh, chief finance officer (agriculture) Dr Ksh Imokanta Singh and United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur president Laishram Joy Singh were present as guests of honour.
In her speech, MLA Kebi, who is also the chairperson of State Women Development Co-operative Private Limited, said that while many unwanted incidents have occurred during the conflict and everyone has been put under immense difficulties, we need to remember that the conflict is for securing the future of the state, our community and our children.
The conflict has awakened everyone to the importance of fighting for the sake of our future generations, she stated.
Lauding RM for producing many excellent students over the years, she expressed firm belief that the school will continue producing exemplary students, who would go on to lead the state to newer heights.
She then exhorted students to focus on their studies to become capable citizens in the future.
During the function, students of the school who figured in the merit list of HSLCE-2023 were honoured with simple gifts, followed by distribution of annual prizes of the school to the students as encouragement.
