MP Bimol visits Nganthoi family to share their grief

Thoubal, June 14 2025: Inner Manipur Lok Sabha MP Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam on Friday visited the family of Nganthoi Sharma Kongbrailatpam at Thoubal Awang Leikai, who is among the two persons from the state killed in the Air India plane crash on June 12 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Accompanied by his wife, Akoijam ongbi Olivia, the MP offered his condolences and shared the sorrow of the bereaved family.

He met with Nganthoi's father Nandeshkumar, her mother Mala, her grandmother and other family members, and consoled them.

Bereaved, Nandeshkumar shared with the MP his desire to see his daughter at the earliest.

It may be recalled that Air India Flight 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft bound for London from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, crashed a few seconds after take-off into the residential quarters of doctors at BJ Medical College, Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, killing 241 passengers and crew members, except one, along with several medical students and doctors who either were killed or injured.
