A joint meeting of Hmar Youth Association (HYA) and the Young Paite Association (YPA) convened yesterday has declared that the two associations will continue their brotherly bond and work for a deeper relationship.
A joint declaration signed by the president and general secretary of HYA and YPA, the meeting announced that "Any issues arising among reckless youths should not be communalized but settled between the concerned persons" .
Additionally, it added that no stone will be left unturned to thwart the plans of those who are trying to sow the seeds of discord amongst them.
Stating that a section of society "spreads unfounded propaganda, which have the potential to spark misunderstandings and hostilities among the sister tribes", the HYA and YPA resolved to carry on with their brotherly bond and deepen their relationship.
The joint meeting was held at the General Headquarters Office of HYA .
