CARD celebrates 28th foundation day

Kakching, December 26 2024: The 28th Foundation Day of Citizens' Association for Rural Development (CARD), Wabagai was celebrated at Wabagai Yangbi Ground on Thursday.

CARD is a conglomeration of 16 clubs, organisations and associations of Wabagai area namely, LLC, Wabagai Lamkhai Bazar; WMYDA, Mairenbam; SWC, Leirak Achouba; EYMDA, Mayai Leikai; WALYDA, Awang Leikai; WES Club, Thingel Leikai; WSWC, Tera Urak; YVO, Makha Leikai; DADA-MPS, Keithel Macha; KTCDA, Thambal Chingya; ABC, Tera Pishak; YIC, Makha Leikai; WYMMYC, Yangbi Mamang; WYMMYDA, Yangbi Maning; ICHEL, Thingel Leikai; and KYWAC, Wabagai Kadajit.

The programme which started with hoisting of the Association's flag witnessed various entertainment programmes performed by children staying in relief camp at Wabagai.

Moreover, tug of war bouts between various village level federations of Wabagai were also conducted as part of the celebration.

Thounaphabi VLF-Wabagai Mairenbam emerged as winners of the tug of war, while Chaokhat Khongthang VLF-Wabagai Awang Leikai finished as the runners-up team.
