JNIMS hospital to reopen from June 16

Imphal, June 14 2025:
Following a temporary closure due to severe flooding of its entire campus since June 2, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal on Saturday informed the public and all concerned that healthcare services at JNIMS hospital including emergency operations will resume from June 16.A release issued by JNIMS said that efforts are underway to ensure full restoration of services, and routine surgeries (Routine OT) are expected to resume as soon as possible.
Simultaneously, academic activities at JNIMS will also recommence from June 16, including regular classes for undergraduate (MBBS and BDS) students, and postgraduate (PG) trainees.
The administration of JNIMS also expressed deep appreciation to all staff members, students, and stakeholders who have contributed to the restoration efforts during this challenging period.
The Institute remains committed to providing quality healthcare and medical education to the people, it added.
