Chongtham Memcha, a protestor, said that the gun attack at the residence of Bikram by unknown armed miscreants is condemned in the strongest terms.
Such acts should not happen in future and those behind the act should clarify to the public reason for the attack.
Meanwhile, veteran politician Okram Joy, who was elected from Langthabal assembly constituency for multiple terms, reportedly received threat video calls from two people on his Facebook account.
Consequently, the ex-MLA filed a complaint letter to chief secretary and DGP Manipur urging for appropriate action against the miscreants.
Informing this to The People's Chronicle, O Joy said that he received multiple video calls from two different people from a same Facebook account.
Every time, the caller said nothing but asked him through hand gesture to keep his mouth shut.
He tried asking what they want to convey by sending message through Facebook Messenger but there was no response to the text message.
The two people have been calling him for the past few days till Monday until he blocked the account, O Joy said.
He further informed that the profile name of the Face book Account is written in Urdu and upon using Google Translate, he came to know the name of the account as Abdulla Efendi Mustafa.
Stating that he has been vocal on various issues concerning the state including the ongoing humanitarian crisis, the veteran politician expressed suspicion that the threat call might be related with his statements related to the current crisis in the state.
