Demise of MPA cadre condoled

Imphal, April 13 2025: The Pambei-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) expressed deep condolences over the untimely demise of Private Tongbram Kallakchei alias Kemi and offered revolutionary salute to the deceased revolutionary.

According to a UNLF statement issued by department of publicity and education director Charairongba Thokchom, Private Kallakchei of Khabam Bamdiar Mamang Leikai posted at 292 battalion of 1st MPA Brigade died in a fateful accident occurred on Sunday at about 2.30 pm .

It said that Kallakchei was part of a team which went to fetch water for defence post-1 of the Front's base camp in a 407 truck.

The vehicle developed technical snag and fell from a steep hill nearby the base camp.

Injured Kallakchei was rushed to a public hospital but succumbed to injuries, the statement said and shared pain and grief of the bereaved family, friends and well-wishers.
