In the aftermath of the devastating floods that hit CCM Campus on May 31 and June 1, the Surveillance Unit, IDSP Senapati, and District NCD Cell under NHM Senapati, led by chief medical officer Dr Sumpi Percy and her team, organised an awareness programme on communicable diseases, including scrub typhus and typhoid, The event also marked the observance of World Hypertension Day 2025.The programme, held at the CCM Campus, Kathikho, aims to educate the local community on preventive measures and the management of these diseases.
Key activities included awareness sessions and screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by the NCD Cell, Senapati.

The initiative benefited not only the CCM family hut also neighbouring households, who received medicine and expert guidance.
Dr Sumpi Percy, Dr A Mercy, Dr Sahriinii, and team members emphasised the importance of timely detection and treatment of hypertension and other non-communicable diseases, as well as communicable diseases, which pose significant health risks, particularly in postflood scenarios.
By providing essential healthcare services, the event underscored their commitment to community well-being and health promotion.
