Heirok SHGs, local bodies extend help to flood victims

Thoubal, June 07 2025: Eco Network Manipur and Humanity Service Foundation in collaboration with four Heirok VLFs and two GPs distributed daily essential commodities including food items to flood affected families at Khurai Heikru Makhong Relief Camp.

According to the press release issued by Shinthangamba Laishram, president, EcoNetwork Manipur, Leimarembi VLF, Apunbagi Thouna VLF, Leishemba VLF, Heirok Part III GP, Ekop Ningthou VLF and Heirok Part II GP were a part of the relief initiative.

According to Maibam Luxmi, secretary, Leimarembi VLF, Friend Union Club of Khurai Heikru Makhong conveyed appreciation towards the Heirok SHGs, EcoNetwork Manipur and Humanity Service Foundation for donating the relief materials during such a crucial time.

Meanwhile, Thokchom Jiteshwori, cadre, Ekop Ningthou VLF shared that the relief effort was made possible by pooling funds and essential commodities.

Additionally, she added that the aid initiative will continue across other relief camps.
