Lions Quest teachers' training workshop held

A two -day Lions Quest teachers' training workshop (TTW) programme, an international programme focusing on engaging the youth, has been inaugurated at Brilliance School, Malom Makha on Friday.
The inaugural programme was attended by Lions International District 322D W Gopimohon Singh, DG elect PMJF Th Kesho Singh, PDG M Gojendra Singh, PDG H Manikumar Singh, PMJF programme coordinator Dr N Romi Singh, MJF zone chairperson Ch Ratankishwar Singh and members of the Lions Club of Imphal Valley, while Manisha Roy Ghanti, a trainer from Pune, was the resource person.
Manisha will also provide training to 21 teachers from Brilliance School (Malom), Brighter Academy (New Checkon) and Kakching Higher Secondary School.
The programme is an international programme funded by Lions Club International Foundation.
Lions Quest TTW, Imphal is the 3rd edition for the LY 2023-24 under Lions Club of International District 322D .
It will focus on positive development of the youth based on discussion on developing positive behaviour, character education, social-learning, awareness about drug alcohol, tobacco (to avoid drug abuse & menace of adolescence) and focussing on skills for adolescence.
The three schools will impart lesson on adolescence skills and positive youth development in classrooms through trained teachers to the students of Standard VI-VIII to a target of about 380 students who will be provided the book set.
The programme is sponsored by Lions Club of Imphal Valley considering the social responsibility of the youth and as part of one its important core service activities, informed a release.
