Noney churches observe Palm Sunday

Noney, April 13 2025: As in the rest of the world, Palm Sunday was observed in all the churches of Noney district.

The day is observed by the Christian community to commemorate the triumphant entry of Lord Jesus Christ in the Jerusalem city as a 'King of kings' and 'Lord of lords' seated on a donkey.

The Christian believers especially the Sunday school students take out a procession on the streets shouting 'Blessed is the man who come in the name of the Lord', 'Hosaana, Hossana in the highest' .

It may be mentioned that Christian believers/church will observe 'Passion Week' for one week till Easter Sunday starting from Monday by praying, fasting and worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ, who they believe came to this world to save the sinners and bring back redemption with the mighty power of the crucifixion on the cross on Good Friday and resurrection on the third day (Easter Sunday) .
