Bishnupur, June 08 2025: A memorandum was submitted on Sunday to Bishnupur additional district magistrate (ADM) T Opendro and Bishnupur SP Ksh Ravikumar by meira paibi groups and local organisations of Ningthoukhong, Toupokpi, Upokpi, Kha Potshangbam and Nachou detrending unconditional release of Arambai Tenggol fighting commander Asem Kanan and his associates, who were arrested by security forces on Saturday.

The memorandum also alleged biased governance with law of the land applied incongruently in the hills and the valley.

Demanding immediate cessation of such partisan attitude and policies, it also mentioned that the people want peace and abstention from arbitrary arrests.

After receiving the memorandum, the ADM assured to forward the same to the Governor through commissioner (home) .
