Imphal, June 01 2025:
Stating that the suffocating politics of India is squeezing the "Ideas of Manipur", the proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Manipur-Progressive (PREPAK-Pro) has pointed out that the refugees' occupation of the sacred Thangjing and Koubru hills means history of Manipur is being kidnapped.
In connection with the observance of the 15th Progressive Day of PREPAK (Pro), chairman Longjam Paliba M shared his thoughts.
The chairman stated that India never shared the constitutional parameters, such as political and economic power, to let Manipur become a golden land.
They purposefully praised Manipur as sport and cultural powerhouse, while their real goal has been to mobilise some of the educated youths and prominent artistes as observers and absorbers for Indianisation.
In Manipur's context, the Indian constitution has been framed in a biased manner.

Refugees are allowed to live independently like divine decedents, by embracing them under ST with unique protective rights.
Subsequently, they were permitted to settle in vast tracts of hills and mountain ranges, which has strategically empowered them to drive out the indigenous communities and successfully practice ethnic cleansing policy.
"Unfortunately, those Chin-Kuki late comer refugees without any gratitude, never respect the Thangjing-Koubru Hills as the historically sacred places of origination and livelihood for Meiteis.
Rather, they ridiculed these sacred places.
Shamelessly, on the contrary they illegally settle and openly attempt to propagate the so-called 'the biblical promised land' as mentioned in the Old Testament.
Indeed, they are kidnappers of our national history," the chairman said in a statement issued in connection with the observance of the 15th Progressive Day held on Sunday.
The statement continued that there is a need to deeply analyse how these armed refugees are capable of demanding a separate administration by marking the areas of ninety percent of land with the might of sophisticated weapons.
The Indian Constitution allows raising the so-called 'Quangos (Quasi Autonomous Non-Governmental Organizations) or No-Go Areas' in Manipur.
It is obviously known that Manipur itself is a hill land, ironically hill areas are reserved exclusively for ST, while the major community Meiteis are squeezed in many ways.
"India has been mobilizing and nurturing the Zo-Kuki to become the armed community for countering the insurgents like us.
However, India apparently knows that these particular communities are already becoming the extended demonic hands of Western countries.
No permanent peace can be achieved until and unless such powerful rules which can breakup our land are completely thrown out," it stated, and urged the public leaders to meticulously feel such imperilling situation and to face them together.
The chairman noted that the people of Manipur in the past did not take seriously the underlying dual ideas of India-Bharat.
Two intellectual groups, mainly from the valley, grew up after Manipur entered into relations with both India and British.
One group of educated middle-class people deeply followed the cultural and religious based ideas of Bharat.
Another intellectual group also fully believed in the highly westernised 'Ideas of India', which are based on unity in diversity, democracy and rule of law, welfare state, equality and justice.
These two ideas had stirred up the collective belief that Manipur will be a golden land once it associates with India.
Truly speaking, the Manipuri of that generation might have believed that there could be an 'Autonomous Manipur' along with the independent India-Bharat.
However, Manipur was humiliated when it was put down at a district-level status for many years, stated the chairman.
Paliba continued that that everybody now knows that the MLAs with majority numbers are not allowed to form a popular government.
The imposition of 'President Rule' in Manipur is the highest compared to other parts of India.
The prevailing overall condition of Meiteis is becoming extremely distressful with access cut off at Sekmai, Pallel, Sugnu, Yaingangpokpi and Kumbi.
"Is it realistic to say that the political status of Manipur being called the 'Swadhin Manipur' as idealised by the then generation, where Meiteis are being prohibited to use their state's name 'Manipur'?", the chairman posed, while remarking that the centuries old independent political status and image of Manipur has been totally erased.
The statement maintained that the basic idea of India-Bharat is like a Black Hole that swallows up our prideful "Ideas of Manipur" which are based on togetherness in living, progress, ruling and ownership among our ancestral and indigenous descendants.
"Let's see whether the Centre is awakened after reading this press-note," Paliba stated.
Regarding some strong appealing voices for uniting the CSOs, chairman asserted that such voices need to be dispelled, as CSOs carry only one fundamental objective, which is to safeguard the territorial integrity by vehemently opposing the demand for separate administration.
"This shared-objective encouraged thousands of people to come out and participate in the movement.
If those who eloquently appeal to unite the CSOs stand firmly, they themselves must courageously move forward until their goals are fulfilled without concerning whether the CSOs are united or not.
However, they do not touch such a level of sacrifice, so their appealing words spread confusion among the public and deflection from the main issue, which has created the breeding ground for the useful-idiots who are helpful to the enemies.
While our society is in disarray and vastly swallowed up by drug addiction, lack of courage and discipline, full of opportunists, and living almost on food-imports, we also felt how our public may categorise insurgents like us who are engaging in armed struggle against India.
However, we are collectively fighting for safeguarding our territory and even jointly participating in many other issues.
"We also chalk out the reality-induced objectives and ultimate objective under the framework of objectives and means.
We translate works into actions by distinguishing the nature of the works to be done with the people, and solely done by us.
Have we not reached the stage of 'icha sing punsallo (Unite, my child)' as we are unitedly combating against those who are trying to break up our motherland? We have been engaging in economic programs to achieve a moderate financial foundation with the policy incentive to boost up our local products in order to rescue gradually from the prevalent distressful society," the chairman stated.
Respectfully appealing for help from upper middle classes, farmers, workers, and also for indirect support from kindred police personals, he advised that as long as one has faith in the political loyalty to India, motherland Manipur would continue to be a sinking ship.
