AR celebrates National Education Day with community outreach activities

In a spirited celebration of National Education Day under the banner of Operation Sadbhavna, a series of impactfill initiatives were undertaken by Assam Rifles across Manipur to foster learning, career awareness and youth empowerment.
As per a release issued by HQ IGAR( South), the activities held on November 11 & 12, 2025, reflected a deep commitment of the Force to nurturing the potential of young minds and strengthening community bonds in the region.
On November 11, a Career Guidance Seminar was organised at Sorde Village in Kamjong district by the Assam Rifles.
The event drew participation from 45 civilians, including students, parents and village elders.
Personnel of Assam Rifles engaged with the attendees, sharing insights on the significance of education, discipline and goal setting in shaping a purposeful life.
The gathering was briefed on various career avenues including opportunities in the Armed Forces, civil services and technical education, alongside Government-sponsored skill development and vocational training schemes.
The initiative was well received, with participants expressing heartfelt appreciation and requesting similar sessions in future.
In a parallel effort, National Education Day was commemorated on the same day at Vocational Guide School, Sangaithel, where 350 students and 18 teachers took part in an interactive programme.
Chitaranjan Singh, Principal of the school and a senior member of Assam Rifles, spoke on the transformative power of education, quoting Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's inspiring words, "Education imparted by heart can bring revolution in the society".
Continuing the momentum, to promote socio-economic upliftment and aid the students in their educational journey, a goodwill initiative was carried out at Kangpokpi on November 12.Under Operation Sadbhavna, Assam Rifles extended assistance to the Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) by handing over a computer set with printer, associated furniture and an inverter.
The handing over ceremony was attended by KSO Kangpokpi president Thangminlen Haokip, KSO Saikul president Thanglunmang Kipgen and KSO Sadar Hills president Thangboi Haokip among others.
