Corruption would be wipe out from State: Th Chaoba

Altogether five persons who have been newly enrolled in BJP Manipur Pradesh were felicitated during a function organized by the party at its conference hall here yesterday.
They are Phijam Pakchao Singh, who contested in the last general election from Lamsang Assembly Constituency as a CPI candidate; Meisnam Mangim, Pradhan of Potsangbam Gram Panchayat; Okram Ibungobi Singh, Ward Member of Wanagai Awang Leikai; Khundongbam Dhiren Singh, Ward Member of Potsangbam Gram Panchayat and Mayengbam (o) Purnima Devi, Ward Member of Potsangbam Gram Panchayat.
Speaking on the occasion, Th Chaoba, president of BJP Manipur Pradesh conceded that the enrollment of the five persons came just a day after online/phone membership drive of the party was launched by Shyam Jaju, National Secretary of BJP at the office of BJP Manipur Pradesh yesterday.
He asserted that people have started appreciating BJP as the party is totally against corruption unlike other political parties while adding that the five persons approached the party for joining in it knowing credentials of the party.
The approval for joining in the party was given to the five persons after careful discussion, Chaoba maintained.
Saying that corruption is deep-rooted in the State which the party would crack down against it, he exuded that confidence that the party would come out with a thumping victory in the upcoming district council election.
