NK Sanajaoba fondly remembered on his 90th Death Anniversary

The 90th Death Anniversary of Nongmeikapam Sanajaoba who gave a new taste to journalism in the State and tried to strengthen the ties between the people of hills and valley, was observed by NK Sanajaoba Memorial Observation Committee at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound here today.
Dignitaries paid floral tributes to the photo of the late journalist as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Altogether 29 associates of NK Sanajaoba including RV Minthing, ex-Minister; Dr Leisangthem Chandramani, ex-Minister; RK Ranendrajit, editor of Freedom; Professor Gangmumei Kamei and PG Paogairung of Lamlanghupi Chothe village, were presented with shawl and memento each as a mark of appreciation.

To mark the occasion, 'Lamyanba', the monthly journal of Pan Manipuri Youth League was released.
Speaking on the occasion as functional president, Dr Lokendra Arambam, president of NK Sanajaoba Memorial Observation Committee recalled that NK Sanajaoba was a dedicated journalist who had always worked tirelessly for establishing a cordial relationship between the people of hills and valley.
He conceded that the vision of the late journalist towards the welfare of the State was vast while asserting that Sanajaoba was a true patriot who was always readied to do things which could serve benefit for the State as a whole.
Calling upon the people to follow footsteps adopted by the late journalist and inspire by his dreams, he acknowledged that life history of NK Sanajaoba is worth to be mentioned and discussed.
RK Ranendrajit said that NK Sanajaoba was a kind of journalist who had wanted to instill sense of patriotism in the minds of the people through his writings.
He also expressed disappointment over younger generation not knowing much of the late journalist.
He added that it has become necessary to recollect various influential works taken up by NK Sanajaoba during his lifetime to bring a change in the State.
