The president further informed that he will meet Health and Family Welfare union minister JP Nadda to discuss the issue in detail and seek his support.
The party members will also meet with other union ministers to propose special packages for the state.
Tombi continued to urge for the ST demand to be taken up during the upcoming session of the Assembly for discussion, while considering the interests and wellbeing of the future generation.
He also urged for the state government to look into the issues concerning the national highways, and mentioned that it (government) could put effort in rectifying the Revenue Department, which had allotted land leases along the river banks.
If we are to protect the territory left behind by our forefathers, all sections of the society need to work together with a common agenda.
In this, there is no place for attempts to gain political mileage and sling mud at each other, he said, while stating that SoO was inked with groups from Myanmar and as such, they should take back the agreement with them when they leave.
The Meetei did not cause the conflict which broke out on May 3 last year but have been merely defending itself till date, Tombi stated.
