UDWO, BAAL gift water tank; ABDWJU aids scribe

Bishnupur, December 26 2024: To convey the message of brotherhood among the people living in the hills and valley, and mark Christmas celebrations, United Women Development Organisations (UWDO) and Bishnupur Akoiba Apunba Lup (BAAL) donated a 1000-litre plastic water tank and food items to Nungang village in Kangpokpi district on Thursday.

The items were presented by a team led by UWDO president Nepram Bimola, and BAAL president L Devachand to Jaigalung Phomei, the president of Nungang Village Festival committee.

Meanwhile, All Bishnupur District Working Journalists' Union (ABDWJU) on Thursday extended financial assistance to its member and Sangai Express Bishnupur district correspondent Konjengbam Pabitra, who was suffered injuries in an accident on December 24 at Oinam under Nambol police station.

As part of the welfare measure for its members, an ABDWJU team handed over the assistance to K Pabitra at his Moirang Konjengbam Leikai residence.

The accident occurred as Pabitra and TPC Bishnupur Correspondent LC Gopen were on their way to Utlou to cover an event.

Gopen also suffered minor injuries in the incident.
