Condolences pour in for two state lasses

Imphal, June 14 2025:
Many condoled the untimely demise of the two sisters of the land, Nganthoi Sharma Kongbrailatpam and Lamnunthem Sing-son, dedicated cabin crew members of Flight AI171, a Boeing 787 8 Dreamliner that met the tragic crash near Ahmedabad on June 12 .
In separate releases, People's Progressive Alliance Manipur (PPAM), Manipur People's Front,' Manipur People's Front, Economic Development Research Group, All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU), and Celin Digital expressed their deepest condolences and unwavering solidarity with the bereaved families of Kongrabailatpam Nganthoi Sharma and Lamnun them Singson.
They prayed for their souls to rest in eternal peace, and strength and resilience for the bereaved families to endure this unimaginable pain.
"Beyond their professional duties, Nganthoi and Lamnunthem were symbols of hope, two young women from different communities divided by conflict, yet united in their dream to serve the skies", PPAM said.
Meanwhile, People for Animals Manipur, Social Reformation Union, Thoubal and Social Service and Welfare Association, Thoubal also jointly observed a condolence meeting for the untimely demise of Nganthoi Sharma Kongbrailatpam and Lamnunthem Singson on Saturday.
Students staying in nearby boardings, namely Vision Creative School of Science, Thoubal, Fancier Higher Secondary School, Thoubal, MM Rent, Thoubal Wangmataba Sorok Makha and Nimaichand and Keinya High School took part in the observance.
A two minute silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the departed souls.
