Imphal, May 11 2009: Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA), Manipur has suspended its finance secretary Sanasam Ibohanbi and volunteer Nikolas from its membership until verification of the charges of having connection with proscribed UNLF as levelled against them by Imphal West Police.

A decision to this effect was arrived at during an emergency executive meeting of CADA at its headquarters here this afternoon, according to a statement issued by information and publicity secretary of CADA Farooq Khullakpam.

The meeting presided over by its president Keisham Ongbi Taruni Devi also resolved to strictly observe the constructional provisions of CADA that none of its volunteers should carry out any activities which are not related to the ongoing anti-liquor drive and which are outside the legal framework for their own personal gains, the statement added.
