Sharda, Santosh discuss Govt formation

Imphal, June 09 2025: BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi today met BJP General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh at BJP office, New Delhi during which Sharda presented a detailed account of the consensus reached among BJP MLAs to instal a popular Government in the State in place of President's Rule.

The State BJP led by Sharda also deliberated on exploring a concrete solution to the Manipur crisis with BL Santosh.

The State BJP team comprising A Sharda, general secretary K Saratkumar and Premananda Meitei talked with BL Santosh about 45 minutes from 11.30 am to 12.15 pm .

The meeting deliberated on the decision adopted by BJP MLAs during a meet ing held at the official residence of MLA Th Biswajit at Sanjenthong on May 30 which was endorsed at another meeting held the next day at the office of BJP Manipur Pradesh with its president A Sharda in the chair.

The State BJP team and BL Santosh also talked about exploring a solution to the protracted Manipur crisis, sources said.

Even though A Sharda and her team have booked an appointment with BJP National president JP Nadda in advance, they have not met Nadda till late evening today.

They may hold a meeting with JP Nadda tomorrow, said the sources.
