Fresh shame on Khaki Gang leader mask ripped off Cop

In yet another incident of the protector of the law violating the law, the gang leader mask of a Police Constable employed in the State Police Department has been ripped and has been found operating as a leader of a gang of burglars One member of a gang of burglars who came to rob a car (Maruti) from a servicing centre at Malom Makha Leikai along Tidim Road last night was nabbed by local people.
This led to the startling revelation that one of the gang leaders is a Police Constable.
The gang numbering eight came on two-wheelers to Bhupen Maruti Servicing Centre last night and shouted, "We are commandos.
Open the workshop's gate.
We have to search the workshop".
Even as mechanics working at the workshop heard the shouting, they did not open the gate.
Not long later, the workshop was attacked by pelting stones causing damages to two cars and a van, said proprietor of the workshop Bhupen.
Some minute later, Bhupen went out but he was greeted with a gun on the head.
The gang confiscated three mobile phones from the mechanics and went away after hitting Bhupen with a stone on the head.
As the gang hurried away, one of their members who came on a scooter (Dio) was left behind as his scooter refused to start.
The local people rushed out and nabbed him.
The gang member rounded up by the local people has been identified as Naorem Sanjoy (17) s/o late Loken of Nambol Bazar.
He disclosed that he came to rob the workshop along with seven other members of a gang led by Hemam Dong of Phoijing Awang Leikai and Naorem James of Nambol Bazar.
He further revealed that Hemam Dong is a Constable of Imphal West District Police.
According to Sanjoy, other members of the gang are Rohit of Nambol Thongkha, RK Ranjan of Nambol Thiyam, Johnson of Nambol Bazar, Bobo of Leimapokpam and Inaocha of Utlou Awang Leikai.
Sanjoy has been handed over to Nambol police station.
The same gang robbed gold jewellery worth around Rs one lakh at gun point from the wife and children of workshop proprietor Bhupen (31) about four/five months back.
