MLA's unexpected visit in interior Ccpur

Villagers of Hita Hengjol and more 31 other villages gave a rousing welcome to a rare and unexpected visit of their representative, MLA Hangkhanpao of Singhat A/C.
The MLA made this rare visit to Singhat sub-division located 60 km from the district HQ and met the chiefs and pastors of 31 villages.
During the visit he inaugurated a community hall constructed at a cost of Rs.6 lakh under a BRGF sponsored scheme.
The MLA was the chief guest in the inaugural function which was presided by the chairman of the Chiefs Association, Gamzang Touthang.
Chiefs of three other neighbouring villages to Hita Henjol village also took part in the function.
The chairman in his speech announced the unanimous decision of the villagers to vote for the MLA in the next assembly election.
The MLA in relief gifted blankets to chiefs.
An election committee was formed with Jamsei Chungdim as secretary.
MLA Hangkhalian expressed real gratitude to the villagers for openly supporting him in the next election.
To make up amends the MLA announced that Rs.3 lakh will be sanctioned from his MLA Local Area Fund for development of roads in the area.
The villagers complained to MLA that the Haokip dominated area has been neglected.
The villagers said considering the totally unexpected visit of the MLA, they have decided to support him in the next election.
Besides this, villagers have to go upto Sugnu which is around 30 km from their village or upto Churachandpur district HQ to buy their daily essential commodities.
Children also go foe study in this two places everyday.
