Imphal, July 07 2025:
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar has expressed cautious optimism over the situation in Manipur, stating that the state is showing early signs of returning to peace and normalcy after last year's unrest.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Annual Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pracharak Baithak in Delhi, Ambekar said, "When a situation deteriorates somewhere, it does not improve overnight.
But in comparison to last year, normalcy has begun to return in Manipur.
This is the beginning of peace".
He said that dialogues are ongoing from both sides and expressed hope that a constructive path forward would emerge through continued engagement.
His comments came amid ongoing efforts to restore peace and rebuild trust among communities affected by the violence that broke out in the northeastern state last year, Ambekar emphasised that lasting peace in Manipur would require persistent efforts at all levels, including dialogue, grassroots outreach, and mutual understanding among different sections of society.
He noted that genuine reconciliation cannot happen quickly and called for patience and consistent work toward healing and unity.
