Naga-Kuki meet demand MLAs to resign by Sep 30

A joint public meeting of Naga-Kuki was held at MACA hall in Chandel district under the aegis of All Tribal Chiefs & People's Grievances Forum (ATC&PGF)
Chandel on Thursday.
The meeting deliberated on the Manipur Land revenue & Land Reforms Act, 1960 (seventh amendment) Bill, 2015 which was passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31, 2015 .
While briefing media after the meeting, chairman of ATC&PGF, Sng Lumdil said that the meet demanded resignation of 41 Chandel MLA St Nunghlung Victor and 42 MLA DK Korungthang by September 30 .
Resolutions were also adopted to condemn the ban or shutdown of all internet and cellular data services in the State; to demand for withdrawal of commandos from hill districts and to condemn using of live bullets.
The meet also shared the grief of the bereaved families and relatives of those killed in the Churachandpur arson and resolved to declare those killed in the incident as 'Tribal Martyrs' .
It further endorsed the decision of the Churachandpur people not to claim the bodies of the martyrs, Lumdil said.
