ZSF, KSO calls for 'day of silence' on May 3

CCpur, April 29 2025:
Zomi Students' Federation (ZSF) and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) have called for a day of silence on May 3, urging the public to close all educational institutions and business establishments as a mark of solidarity.
In a joint statement issued Tuesday, the student bodies stated, "As May 3, 2025 marks the second anniversary of the outbreak of the ethnic cleansing campaign, KSO and ZSF urge everyone to observe the day in silence" .
Commemorative events will be held at two locations: a mass prayer at the Martyrs' Cemetery, followed by a public gathering at the Wall of Remembrance (WoR) .
The student bodies requested the public to suspend all regular activities for the day and to take part in the events in large numbers.
Additionally, they appealed to all residents to display black flags at their homes as a mark of mourning and solidarity.
