Imphal East district declared no fly zone

Imphal, February 14 2023: Keeping in view of the ensuing G-20 summit events to be held in the state on Friday and Saturday and the ongoing preparations for the same, district magistrate of Imphal East has declared no fly zone in multiple areas of Imphal East district from February 16, 5 pm till the time of departure of delegates on February 19 .

As per an order issued in this regard on Tuesday, no fly zone for drones and UAVs will remain effective during the entire duration over and around City Convention Centre, Shri Shri Govindajee Temple, Classic Grande, Marjing Polo Statue complex, Marjing Polo Ground, Heingang Hill in Imphal East district.

Moreover, the route from Sanjenthong to Shri Shri Govindajee Temple via City Convention Centre, the whole route starting from North AOC leading to Ipudhou Marjing Polo Statue, Heingang, which will be used as venues for G-20 summit or sites of visit of the delegates, are also notified as no fly zone for drones and UAV.

Furthermore, all unattended vehicles and construction materials piled up, if any, along the said routes should be cleared by person/owner concerned on or before 10 am of 15 February, failing which, necessary action would be initiated by the SP Imphal West/East district, the order made it clear.
